Well, it has almost been a month since I last wrote. The quilt show prep took waaaay too much of my time. It was much more than I should have taken on. I won’t be doing that again. That is to say, try to prepare for such a big event with only a few short weeks to do it. I did however have a great time. My friend Nancy joined me in my booth and I am so grateful for that. Without her beautiful pillows, cards and zip bags my booth would have been much more empty.
Here are a few pictures of the booth at the show.

I didn’t even come close to making back my investment but I sure learned a lot. I’m planning on doing at least a few more shows before I try something else. I’m not sure it’s for me but I really enjoyed visiting with all the people that stopped in the booth. I got to see a lot of my old friends from Yakima. Boy! I sure do miss them. I’m hoping to go ahead and take a step to make some friends here. I’ve enjoyed the quiet solitude but doing this show made me realize how much I miss interacting with people. Especially people like me who have a love of quilting and all things creative.
I’d also like to thank Linda and Linda in the booth next to mine. Linda was so helpful to me and gave me lots of tips for next time. She also helped me from panicking about the whole process. I can’t remember the name of their business but hopefully as I unpack I can find out!
The other thing that was really cool was that my son Jon was able to help me both days. It was really fun having him there. He manned the cash register practically the whole time. He is a mechanical engineer who works as a contractor. Since he is between contracts he was able to take the time to help me.
Oh so much to write about but I will have to wait until later so I can get my etsy stores up and running again. I wanted to get in a blurb just in case anyone stopped by. I gave out some business cards and wanted to make sure there was something new. Check back soon. I really hope to post often.
